i don't use tiktok. my friend sent me this. you'll never guess who i thought of.
if it was up to me and i had to give testament a dance-related hoby, it would've been pole dancing. but
sometimes when i see bellydancing i see why the staff (character designer? who decides hobbies) would've
thought of this too. assuming they were being pure of heart. i don't know about other people, but when i
first saw that their hobby was bellydancing i thought of how every gacha game
has to have the obligatory orientalist (@middle east and kind of india) banner, and how they seem to think
every woman dresses (or dressed, pre-islam) like a stereotypical bellydancer, so i wasn't very impressed. but
when i use the mental image "mom introducing new things to her workout routine" i'm less :/ about it.
it gets a little silly then actually :3
that said, the guy in the tiktok is in an anubis-themed outfit so there's definitely some orientalism going on there.
but nice moves! makes me wish i could animate... not many people draw tes bellydancing... do they not know they like it?
since obviously (enough) japanese people LOVE their little disney's aladdinesque banners you would think there'd be a lot of art on pixiv
or something, but there isn't. elsewhere in the world i think it's because it's lowkey giving cultural appropriation, but i'm
sure bellydancing isn't a closed practice, and i feel like the consensus on it is "be respectful." it didn't give me the ICK when i
saw they like doing it, but i was like.... yknow..... i guess i was mistrustful of the devs' intentions. still am. but. i can still
draw tes being respectful about it if i'm being respectful about it too, even if someone else was thinking "sexy desert jewel cosplay🤤"
(chris decides not to speak on how many goths love things that are ~exotic~ and ~different~ and ~specficially not white~ and how it
can't be said they're known for being respectful about it)

on the pole for a long time, but i used to fear that no matter how i go about it, everyone who saw would assume that i
drew it solely to get off, since people can be weird about poledancing. i don't really
fear that anymore since i can just leave it on my personal website :33 but i actually have a drawing queue and i won't be able to draw

2. (unrelated to clavis) last night, i had an idea: putting on character shrines how many times

iwish the clavis artist hadn't nerfed his bang length so the resemblance would be even greater,
but..............!!!!!!!
they have a lot in common; i really want to draw them together. there's a lot of things i want
to draw though... i wish i drew faster. or i should dedicate a day to staying the hell off the
computer so i Have to draw (or read or game).
but bascially, listen. they kind of look the same, except clavis is a little taller and his eyes
are smaller. and clavis isn't built like a triangle. if using ML tes as the point of comparison
then their bodies are probably more similar, but clavis has more shoulder. #seme. and i think of
pre-strive Tes as being bony, but clavis has servants and friends nearby who would make him eat
even if he's too depressed to care.
they both preside over death! for tes i think it's just an aesthetic thing; they're probably not
actually the grim reaper... probably seemed that way to all the people they killed, but like,
you can say that about any (mass) murderer. clavis may not have a scythe, but he is the guardian
of darkness. his sacrea brings peace, but also! it brings the most eternal peace of all 😌 so he
also kills people, although i wonder if the deaths in question are all from illness or suicide

he did, so maybe he should have been a little grateful that at least he's not testament who
post-dizzy, pre-movingtothevillage, only had Creatures of dubious linguistic abilities (/JOKE btw)
i'm going to end this by saying........... they share some hobbies :) clavis likes tarot and
scrying via crystal ball and star-gazing :) tes likes star-gazing and fortune-telling :))
twinninggggg. and tes has lots of outdoor hobbies besides that, so they could become his friend
via the previously listed hobbies and then make him grow as a person by slowly sucking him into
some more active stuff. tes doesn't have to fix anyone, of course, but :) yknow :) we can hold
someone's hand as we help them back to their feet once they decide they're ready to stand up,

i dont got much to really say publicly about felix these days; i just go in my friends dms and
say something about his armpits or whatever and she tells me to die. thats all i need these days
although, maybe i should go about archiving all my tweets and reposting my old thoughts here
sometime... maybe next vacation.
